Not too often, but every once and a while I read an automotive review. I have a couple reasons for this.

Primarily, most reviews today suck and are written by a bunch of hacks that care about one thing only — the next trip. Even worse, sometimes there's some sort of pretentious undertone implied by these people who don't even own their own vehicle and can speak about a proper owner experience. Rather than tell the story of the car, these guys and girls would rather insert themselves into the story at any given moment. Personally, my favorites are the writers attempting their best Jeremy Clarkson impression.

Tonight though I stumbled across an interesting one, however. That would be a Business Insider story published about the all-new Lincoln Continental. From what we've been seeing there's tremendous interest in this product.

But I have to be straightforward here. I found the production vehicle that made its debut on the auto show circuit to be rather unimpressive with its cheap-y interior.

Apparently one writer doesn't have any constructive criticism for our friends in Dearborn. The "review" is dripping of things like this:

...Wood trim is subdued, but it exudes quality. You could be excused for thinking you had been transported into a Bentley...

If this writer ever has been in a Bentley, shame on him.

All that said, I wanted to get the Spies' opinions on the matter. Is the all-new Lincoln Continental THIS good or is this particular reviewer playing this up?
