Is This The Future Design Language Infiniti Should Follow For Their Sedans Across The Board?

If I were an executive or a designer at Infiniti, the thing that would be keeping me up late at night BESIDES the fact that sales suck and that they only have one car selling in volume (G-Series), is WHAT should the next generation design language look like.



The new FX theme seems to be like something you would see an an anime cartoon but I don't think the masses are digging it.

I get it.

They're trying to be edgy and futuristic but it seems they don't understand that the people buying vehicles in the segments they compete in, want something sporty and timeless with a TOUCH of edge.

Not Speed Racer.

When I saw this photo from a Japanese mag I began to think, is THIS what their next sedans should look like across the board?

Let us know is this is the right direction for them or what your suggestions would be...

A somewhat interesting mix of Mazda RX-8, Nissan GT-R, and Acura TL, but... I'd expect a bit more (overall) originality in the final product - We'll See

This car is like one of those side-by-side photos where you're supposed to see what's different between the two. In this case, the goal is to see how many other cars you can find in one vehicle: Acura grille, Maxima headlights, RX-7 front quarter, S Class foglights, BMW greenhouse, 370Z lower front fascia, BMW CS Concept flanks.... the list goes on.

The proportions on that rendering look strange but I do like some of the straighter lines. Overall, what keeps me out of an Infiniti is that they feel very feminine. The g37S looks like a chick car to me, nothing masculine about it.

Talk about a confused design language: that thing is pulling from way too many other cars. Then again, that's typical of Asian manufacturers: they like to copy rather than originate. But the car in this rendering is over the top. Freakish-looking.

The Essence show car has already answered this question. Look for the next M to be a taste of Infiniti's future design direction.

This is an old picture! The future design of Infiniti is in the Essence, which they already stated. So their really is no point to this useless article. Hopefully, we will get some real articles soon.

I really like the look of most current Mazda's so why wouldn't I like this also?

By the time it hits the showroom Mazda will have moved on to something else so why not? Unless selling a premium car that looks like a few year old Mazda would be a problem, that is.
