Although we've known for quite sometime that Aston Martin would be partnering up with Neiman Marcus to sell 10 Neiman Marcus Editions of the Vanquish Volante, we weren't exactly sure how it would turn out. That's largely because we hadn't seen the specifications of the auto.
Neiman Marcus' Fantasy Christmas Catalogue cars are always special and typically trimmed in an exclusive colors, materials and details.
And, knowing that Aston is proud to display the remarkable touch of its "Q" program, we were stoked. Especially after seeing launch car — optioned in a gorgeous blue/green and an interior featuring yellow piping — we were expecting something a bit poppy and exciting. Instead what we've got is a dark blue vehicle with a black interior and walnut wood. Not as awesome as we hoped.

A special edition will spearhead the American launch of the Aston Martin Vanquish Volante. The limited run will make its world premiere at the LA motor show next week.
Just 10 examples of the Neiman Marcus Edition Vanquish Volante will be built by Q by Aston Martin, the firm’s customisation arm.
The car has been created in conjunction with dealer Galpin Aston Martin and appears in the prestigious 2013 Neiman Marcus Fantasy Christmas Catalogue. Aston Martin says the model was inspired by the Prince of Wales’s DB6 Volante.
