As you may have realized over the years, we're fans of the Porsche 911. Although it may be technically flawed from an engineering perspective, it's tough to say that there is any one sports car that is as versatile and as lovable as the 911.

It's an automotive icon that has proved itself ON and OFF the track.

But I will be the first to admit that as it's gotten older, more loaded with technology and PDK, it's been a bit sad. That's because as a basic sports car it was gold.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a brilliant machine, but there's something about a 911 when it's in its purest form that's so damn addicting. So it was BIG news when the GT3 went to PDK only. Now if you want the most amount of juice, rear-wheel drive and a manual, your best option is the all-new 911 (991) GTS.

Created as a middler between the Carrera S models and the GT3 it's a representation of the best of both worlds. More power and fun without the harshness of a race-inspired sports car. And did I mention it has a manual gearbox? Right.
