As every auto show comes and go, Agent 001 and I are in pretty constant communication. Of course we talk about the all-new debuts, what we like and what we don't dig.

And then we revisit vehicles that we've seen for a bit of time. That's because opinions change.

For me when I see the BMW X7 Concept, a bit of vomit makes its presence known. While I do believe there's a business case for a third-row BMW sport-utility vehicle, I can't get over this vehicle's front grille. It's atrocious. Couldn't the blue and white have styled its front grille a bit differently? It's a bit too strong and cartoonish.

When I talk to 001, however, he is a fan — somehow. While he is quick to admit that it's not as stirring or innovative as a Tesla Model S or first-gen Audi R8, it is far more attractive than the likes of its direct competition in form of the Mercedes-Benz GLS and Tesla Model X. According to him, his experience has been like that of the ugly but cute dog at the pet store — you fall in love with it over time. Overall, 001 says it has more freshness and panache over the current-gen 7-Series. He does note one thing though: BMW's biggest mistake was the color they showed it in. 001 says that if it had been in flaky, metallic black or silver it would have garnered widespread praise.

We do know this thing is going to have a helluva run in the sales department. Just ask yourself this: Who is making an awesome, three-row SUV that you really want to own?

Having said that, we're curious about what YOU think of the X7 Concept's styling. Are you digging its look or would you rather it be put out of its misery?
