The past week has been an interesting one for the all-new Lamborghini Huracan. With reports streaming back to us detailing first drive impressions, we've been soaking it all in.

While we've brought to you the rather disappointing news that the Huracan has a tendency to understeer so much so that Autocar's Steve Sutcliffe knocked it quite harshly, there's something brighter on the horizon. If you're into the whole pissing contest that are zero to 60 times, well, the Huracan will not let you down.

That's because Car and Driver recently clocked it at 2.5 seconds to 60 mph.

Yeah. That's not even fast. That's STUPID fast. That's Bugatti Veyron fast.

So, the problem — if you even want to call it that — is that its sibling, the Aventador, takes another half second to hit that 60 mph mark. Though something tells me that the typical buyer is probably looking for the doors that go up and that unreal sounding V12 powerplant, we're curious if it matters to YOU.

In addition, this speed also makes the Ferrari 458 Italia and McLaren 650S look slow in comparison. Although we're aware that Ferrari will be boosting its 458 with help from forced induction technology, it seems McLaren may be screwed for the time being.

Lamborghinis once had a reputation for being fast in a straight line and clunky in corners. This car is fast everywhere, though our test gear confirmed that this Huracán is freakishly quick in a straight line. We ripped to 60 mph in 2.5 seconds and burst through the quarter-mile in 10.4 seconds at 135 mph. Forget the comparable Ferraris and McLarens—they’re eating the Huracán’s dust. In fact, the little Lambo even knocks off the Porsche 911 Turbo S, a computerized acceleration kill-bot and another bright satellite in the VW universe. This thing is Veyron quick.
