Um, maybe he needs to reread the laws. You can carry the same name as long as you're in different businesses that aren't easily confused. So unless the girls start selling cars, or Lexus starts selling porn, this really is a moot issue.

After that, what's next, going after anybody who named their kid Lexus?

Mercedes was the name of the daughter of Emil Jellinek, an Austrian-German businessman who was on of the first and most loyal customers of the Benz & Cie. He always referred to his cars as "my Mercedes" and the name has stuck ever since.
