They really don’t make them as they used to anymore. Today’s recalls are downright embarrassing and aiming at some really stupid problems sometime. The last manufacturer to add its name on this virtual ‘list of shame’ is MINI.
The British manufacturer that has been working under BMW’s umbrella for nearly 15 years now, is recalling no less than 5,805 cars for... wait for it... a faulty spare wheel nut. Yes, you heard it right, the bolt that is supposed to hold the wheel in place is faulty and might cause some damage to put it mildly.
