We're only about two weeks away from Monterey Weekend now and it sounds like there's going to be a lot of activity this year. With a lot of automakers preparing vehicles to show off, we're particularly interested in the really rare hardware.

That's what makes events like Quail and the Pebble Beach Concours special. You don't go there to see a Ferrari 355 or 360 Modena. You go to see P4/5 or a vintage SWB California.

Well, according to the latest rumors, it sounds like Italy's other major supercar manufacturer has BIG plans for Monterey Weekend. Lamborghini is said to be privately showing an all-new supercar that will be comparable to the likes of the Reventon and Veneno.

Of course if you're familiar with either of those, essentially those buyers were suckered into buying a Murcielago and Aventador with ridiculous body kits. Sure they're the very definition of exclusive, but I am not sure as to what you're really paying millions for aside for a one-off body kit.

According to the latest reports, Lamborghini is denying this private showing is happening but no one in their right minds expects the company to be forthcoming.

That said, if this is a true report we can expect to see the real deal at one of the major auto shows soon.
