One of Mayor Bloomberg’s signature projects - the Taxi of Tomorrow - was voided by a Manhattan Supreme Court judge who said a city agency overstepped it’s legal authority.

The plan envisions nearly the entire yellow taxi fleet being replaced with a single model - Nissan’s NV200 - that is chock-full of rider amenities like a see-through roof and passenger-to-rider intercom system.

But just weeks before the first NV200 cabs were set to start appearing on city streets, Justice Schlomo Hagler ruled the Taxi and Limousine Commission exceeded its authority in mandating owners purchase the so-called Taxi of Tomorrow.
