Mercedes-Benz will join the burgeoning premium electric crossover market by building a production version of its Generation EQ concept before the end of the decade. The automaker’s factory in Bremen, Germany, will handle assembly duties. The EV CUV will be the first in a coming onslaught of ten electric models that Mercedes will introduce before 2025.

The powertrain would get the vehicle to 62 miles per hour (100 kilometers per hour) in under five seconds.
