Mitsubishi hints at future U.S. models
esides the Mitsubishi Lancer, it’s no surprise that Mitsubishi’s lineup in the U.S. isn’t very exciting and since U.S. dealers weren’t very impressed with the sketches of the 2009 Galant and Endeavor crossover redesign, plans may be taking a new course.

CEO Osamu Masuko spoke to the press at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show two weeks ago saying that Mitsubishi is ”…looking at the direction we will take regarding new models. The U.S. is the biggest market. We are going to strengthen our position there.”

I kind of forgot out Mitsubishi. I hardly seem them on the road. The redesigned Galant was a failure..maybe better next time around

I like Mitsus except for the fact that they are using CVTs instead of conventional 6-speed automatic transmissions on some of the models I saw.

I see new Lancers everywhere these days, and they're seriously good looking!

"Yes, but you DO see them."
Well taking into consideration how many more cars i see from their competitors 2-3 a day means zero cars.

OK, isn't the front an Audi wannabe, and isn't the back a Hyundai Genesis wannabe. A Hyundai Genesis wannabe? It's ok to emulate a brand like Audi. We all know the comparison stories of Lexus/Acura/Ininiti - Mercedes, Audi, BMW. But, I think Mitsubishi, a company that's been around way longer than Hyundai in the states, should be shooting higher. If they want to succeed they really need to start setting their styling apart from others. I think recently Mazda has been doing a great job of, not only giving the consumer a wide variety of models and options, but also they are begining to have they own brand idenity. Mitsubishi has a good product. The Lancer is great example of that. (Clearly, Subaru has taken one step back with the new Impreza design- but that's another discussion). Mitsubishi- Find yourself. Mazda has.
