If there's one company that always does a good job preparing folks for what's to come at the upcoming auto show, it's Chrysler. Most of the time they don't pull punches and are pretty straightforward with what it'll be delivering at the show. For the 2014 New York Auto Show it seems we'll all be getting a taste of the revamped Challenger and Charger.

When you think back to Chrysler's Dodge nameplate, these are two cars that need some TLC.

Though the Challenger is one of those cars that someone KNOWS they're going to buy it instantly — it's like love at first sight — the question lingers, at least to me: WHY would you get one with the all-new 2015 Ford Mustang and revamped for 2014 Chevrolet Camaro? I am hoping Chrysler did more than simply update the exterior and interior because, frankly, it needs something else to remain competitive aside from looks. Beauty fades.

The Charger will be interesting to see. That's because when it was launched it was a pretty good car out of the box. It was clearly developed after the bankruptcy whereas the Challenger was a pre-bankruptcy car. It shows. Now though the Charger is facing a TON of competition from all angles and it needs to be better prepared. This will be Dodge's answer.

BUT I have to ask since the company is revealing them on the SECOND day of the show: Do YOU care about these two debuts? The second days of auto shows is typically reserved for low volume automakers and aftermarket manufacturers. So, why would Chrysler choose to use the second day to promote its latest products?
