As we've reported for quite some time, Audi has been the reigning champ when it came to shipping gorgeous interiors. Ranging from its bargain basement cars to the top of the line W12 A8L, the four rings always did something far and beyond its competition.

BUT, all good things MUST come to an end. We're thinking that **may** have happened.

Case in point: Check out the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class that appeared at the 2014 New York Auto Show. Featuring an interior done by the company's exclusive Designo department, you'll note that its a two-tone testament to design.

In an unusual move, the seats are dark while the carpets and door panels are light — usually it's the other way around.

So, we've got to ask: has Audi's magic touch FINALLY been ended by the likes of the all-new Mercedes-Benz S-Class?
