NEW YORK AUTO SHOW — SPIED: A RARE BMW E92 M3 Nabbed At BMWNA HQ

At the prototype test drive, held one day before the start of the 2013 New York Auto Show, I noticed something particularly special. It was a Frozen Red E92 BMW M3.

And its funny because while I was driving home from work through Hoboken a day prior I saw the EXACT same car. It turned in front of me at a light and was sporting those very specific Georgia "HT" distributor plates. And if there's one thing I love about development/marketing/press cars it's the shady plates.

I guess you can say I was pleased to see the vehicle make its way to BMWNA HQ the next morning as I missed the chance to photograph it.

I will admit though, I was surprised to see it, once again, on the show floor at the New York Auto Show.

According to an October 2012 press release the Frozen Red, Frozen White and Frozen Blue cars started production in January 2013 and approximately only 150 will be done up this way.
