NISSAN 370Z New Information
There's a recently scanned picture from a Japanese magazine that has the 370Z being more curvy. There are also descriptions of the interior, and a possible North American debut in November 08 at the LA Auto Show.
The new 370Z looks amazing. And if Nissan can keep the weight of the car and prices in check, this car will be another great success.
I still miss the twin turbo 300Z. Now that BMW has brought twin turbos to their line up, Nissan should consider bringing the twin turbos back to their Z line up.

This vehicle better not have the dreaded CVT. Why are the rims designed to deliberately invite curb damage? Where is the protective side molding to prevent lo-lifes from dinging the doors in parking lots? Other than that, Nissan makes great engines.

Looks more like a refresh with an updated engine.

For what it's worth, I have one of each and I would tend to say 'it depends.'
Given my driving style and ignoring the weather, I would take my 350Z over my 535xi. The 350Z is a blast to break loose and you can't beat the value. (I can only assume that the 370Z would be even better.)
Taking the weather into account, I would have to resort to the AWD, which is why I got it in the first place.

I was hoping for more of a drastic change. This is very similar to the old version, (kinda plain) but still nice.

Given the timeless lines of the 300z and 350z I have faith Nissan will do better than this.

Figures they would want it more "bubbly" shaped... Just like the new Infiniti G's. I see more and more Altima's, 350Z's, and G's and I have to look carefully to figure out which one they are. Nissan and Infiniti needs to distance themselves in terms of style.

I can understand Altima vs. G, but how could you possibly mistake a 350Z for anything else?

New headlights are not enough for an overweight, too big to be a sports car sales dud. Nissan needs do do alot more than headlights and a little more displacement to start selling this car.

I think new Z should be more evolutionary than revolutionary. btw above pic looks good. bumper design, roofline, whole rear 3/4...etc looks very good. Headlights could be better though.

Looks good. Except the headlights. Then again, it looks like a concept car, not production (notice the door handles?)

Butt looks kinda too big, front end not aggressive enough. Headlight is girly.

All this is is a bad photoshop job. A bad, bad photoshop job. I always liked the 350Z, even if a little heavy. Still a cool car. I'd like to see more G coupe in the new one.

I really like the current 350Z when it came out and I loved the drive, now I like this one even more its even nicer, BUT what stopped me from buying the 350Z was its cheap interior quality, I really hope that Nissan WILL put back its old good quality into its cars and enough of getting ideas from Ford.

To me the car looks good. The greenhouse appears a little smaller then the current Z. The headlights are interesting and seem a little smaller then the current ones. Should be quite a quick car with 330 HP. I hope they took some weight out of the thing. The current car is too heavy and that hurts it's handling.

The Z cars except for the original back in 1970. They have always been good cars but seldom great. this current Z car at least is not aimed at middle aged women. This current car just looks awkward and weighs too much and is too big for a 2 seater. spend a little more and buy a Corvette, Boxster or Caymen. The Corvette weighs less than a 350Z! I guess it is not so bad if you consider how many other models the Z car has to share its platform with. The compromises that are part of the 350Z are just way to obvious.

The 350z is selling about 1/3 of what was expected. The G35/7 looks so much better and does not have that cheap looking interior. This car has struggled to be a sports car for a long time. It is tough for a manufacturer to justify a stand alone chassis. Look how old the S2000 looks now but at least it is a sports car. A based Corvette is within $10K of a loaded 350Z and the Corvette will blow the doors off of the 350Z in every way.

370z for the have nots. GT-R for the haves. In Japan the Z series have never been considered a true sports car, at least when compared to the GT-Rs from the same company. The Nissan Fairlady Zs (nicknamed "Fatlady" by some in Japan) are decent but if you're looking for performance look no further than the GT-R. If you have a limited budget and want a stylish and somewhat sporty ride then the Z series will do just fine.

It has some design cues that remeind me of my 280ZX. I still love having my 280 turbo, but boy what I wouldn't give to own a 370Z
