It's not very often, but it happens sometimes. I can be swooned by an automobile. The latest to do so isn't a supercar like a McLaren 650S Spider or something in that league. It's actually the all-new, second-gen Porsche Boxster Spyder. A lot of it, if I am honest, has to do with the first-gen Boxster Spyder I had the chance to drive years ago. New York Auto Show**READ the company-issued press release detailing the Porsche Boxster Spyder HERE!Essentially, it's a vehicle built for "all or nothing" enthusiasts that want to drive not necessarily the fastest but have the MOST possible fun behind a steering wheel. The top comes off, the second-gen car is only equipped with a standard transmission and I am sure its six-cylinder motor will sing through its sport exhaust. Because the first-gen Boxster Spyder was SO well balanced, you can pretty much drive it at 10/10ths, everywhere. I expect more of the same in the all-new Boxster Spyder just it will feature a 3.8-liter motor and have those gorgeous 918 carbon fiber-backed seats.
