In my previous thread I made note of how it was nice to see Audi stepping out of its comfort zone when it came to its paint options. Well, aside from the introductory R8 Spyder's shade that reminded me of Imola Yellow, it also brought to the 2016 New York Auto Show (NYIAS) a couple of other interesting R8s.

A pair, in fact.

The bright blue R8 looked rather good sans carbon fiber and what I believe is the standard V10 car — no Plus package. Sure it had the cross-spoke alloys but did not feature the fixed, carbon fiber rear spoiler. The two-tone "blade" has a nice look here and shows that element still packs a punch as did the first-gen R8.

The Goodwood Green car is a sophisticated move though. An Audi Exclusive color, this V10 Plus R8 featured a peanut butter brown interior with the diamond pattern stitch adorning the seats and ceiling. After living with a Lamborghini Huracan I will tell you this: it feels like a cathedral in there.

That said, what do YOU make of these color combinations on the second-gen R8? Are YOU feeling either? Do YOU have a particular shade in mind, assuming you were in the position to spec one of these bad boys out?
