Today, McLaren was more than happy to reveal just an itty bitty portion of the all-new Sport Series. According to the latest reports there are expected to be two different variants and as many as seven versions in the Sport Series lineup.

The latest rumors say that there will be a coupe, convertible and something being called a "GT." From there, the base cars will be dubbed "C" and the more sporting models will get an "S." The very last variant is expected to take some inspiration from its bigger brother, the 675LT.

Seeing the light of day for the very first time at the 2015 New York Auto Show, we think that's a pretty clear indicator that the British marque is expecting the U.S. market to fully embrace the newcomer.

As of now the niche automaker has only teased a sliver of its side profile. It shows us a rather organic looking design with a nice swath of carbon fiber. Did you really expect anything less from Macca?

Yours truly received a "save the date" for a March 30 unveil pre-show. You bet I'll be there, camera in hand.
