That's a lot of money, but it's worth every penny.

Yep, it is indeed worth every penny.
The only other hardtop convertibles with this much performance are the AMG SL's and those cars are much much more expensive. Not to mention the BMW has two useable rear seats.
The performance and pricing of this convertible will make it a rare find.
On a side note, my dealer has some M3's on the lot now. There are 4 sedans and 2 coupes, and word is, the sedan is getting ordered more than the coupe.

"the sedan is getting ordered more than the coupe"
I can see that. The sedan looks awesome.

You know, this is something that's always bothered me about BMW. $65K for the base M3. Tacking on packages raises it another $8K. That's $73K for what will probably be an average configuration. I'd prefer them to start with a slightly higher base price and include the things standard.
While I haven't been fond of the recent Acura designs, at least they have it right by including things standard.

While raising the base price and including more features is good for saving money on manufacturing processes, offering more choice and customization to the client is simply a higher level of service.

i also respect acura for including alot of standard equipment, they wouldnt really make much sense otherwise though if the didnt, a Tl is about 35,000 about fully loaded, a honda accord fully loaded is very close to that, it really makes you wonder whats the point, acura and honda are very close price wise...the standard features are one of the things that distinguish it

When you compare this to a 911 conv, SL63 conv., or XKR its chump change for the same power and same if not better experience.
