For someone, it's not going to be a very Happy Thanksgiving. That person most likely lives in the Dallas metro area and was the owner of what was a mint McLaren P1.

You know, the million dollar plus supercar that's captivated enthusiasts everywhere in 2014.

This unlucky individual has claimed what we believe is the FIRST crash of a McLaren P1.

While it may seem dire given that the car looks totaled, this story **may** not have a completely unhappy ending. That's because there's two ways this thing will end. Either someone buys this wrecked out P1 and restores it via McLaren's highly skilled and trained staff back at the company's headquarters in Woking, or the owner who seemingly lost control can suck it up, send it back to HQ and keep the vehicle in their collection.

This wouldn't be the first time someone has destroyed a McLaren only to send it back to the factory to be completely put back to normal. In fact, Rowan Atkinson — you know, "Mr. Bean" — wrecked his McLaren F1 twice. According to Atkinson, the latest incident cost 910,000 GBP to get it back to as-new condition.

That's the beautiful thing about McLaren. If you've got the checkbook, it can make magic happen.
