Only for the Japanese market.....so unfair!!!
Okay, don't shoot me for this because I know the wagon was already posted, but here are some pics of the Legacy Sedan STI.

Subaru has announced the Subaru Legacy "Tuned by STi" package for the Japanese market. Limited to 600 units total, the tuner kit can be ordered for either the Legacy Wagon or Legacy B4 (sedan). No engine modifications are part of the package since it's available only for the 2.0 GT spec.B trim, which already features Legacy's top-of-the-line 280-horsepower mill.

The list of add-ons includes the following:

Sport suspension feat. Bilstein dampers
18" STi wheels
STi front and rear spoilers
Brembo brake upgrade
Leather/Alcantara seating with red contrast stitching

STi electro-luminescent gauge pack
STi badging
STi muffler with dual tip
Al of those are applied to the recently-facelifted Legacy, which looked great to begin with, to give it a decidedly sportier look and feel than the already-impressive spec.B model. In addition to the body style, buyers can choose between 6-speed manual or 5-speed (paddle-shift) automatic transmissions. Pricing ranges from ¥3,979,500 ($34,700 USD) to 4,116,000 ($35,800 USD). Dealers are taking orders now, and deliveries will commence in February.

So here's my question...how unfair is this? :) I know it's not a BMW, or an Audi, etc...but pure automotive 'wise' would you all have one in your driveway?

Subaru needs a GOOD LOOKING halo car that people take notice of. A car that anyone can feel PROUD to own and show off. A car that does not look like it was designed only for the teen age street racers.

Quality is one thing. Image quite another. Subaru have the hard part already under their belt, now to focus on their image by designing and advertising in the manner of the winners.

I agree with shiftright. The impreza wrx sti, their protypical image car, has some maturing to do before it is elevated from boy-racer status.

That is, with some sophisticated exterior looks and some minor interior touch ups (in keeping with a sporty interior), it would be a viable choice for me when looking at sport sedans.

^Holden Commodore.
And the Legacy shown is not us-spec. It is JDM-spec. (Japan Domestic Market)

shiftright:
They already have one. It's called the Legacy. About 45% of Legacy drivers steped up from an Impreza because they wanted a mature, larger, more refined, less-noticable car, while still having the driving dynamics of a Impreza.
