This shouldn’t come as much of a surprise given two things: 1) We showed you a leaked image that showed the Mercedes-Benz roadmap for the near future; and, 2) The three-pointed star did just reveal the Mercedes-AMG GT C Roadster.

According to the latest reports, it’s been officially confirmed that the GT and GT S will now be joined by an all-new GT C Coupe. As of now it’s not clear if the GT C will slot between the GT S and the GT R, or if it will simply replace the GT S. The GT C Roadster was revealed weeks ago and is making its very first appearance at the 2016 Paris Motor Show.

What does this all mean?

Well, for starters, the updated 4.0-liter, twin-turbo V8 will gets a boost of power meaning it will make nearly 550 horsepower. In addition, we expect the coupe to also make use of the all-new exterior design treatment — vertical lamellas — which includes a refreshed look.
