Once and a while you have to take a step back and properly evaluate a situation. And that's what we're going to do right here. As we all know, Ferrari introduced a new hardcore spider dubbed the 458 Speciale A — "A" is for Aperta.

For those of you not in the loop, consider this the 458 Speciale that has a folding hard top for those nights you want to have fun and make a statement.

Although I have to say I am smitten with the likes of the 458 Speciale, the drop top variant debuted in the city of lights sporting really LOUD livery. This follows on the heels of the 430 Scuderia/16M and 360 Challenge Stradale — all could be had with stripes.

First off, this 458's exterior was painted the very non-traditional yellow — Hey, wait, that's Lamborghini's color!

Second, it was accented with a metallic blue and white stripe — Oh-kay, now this may be getting close to out of hand.

Third, its exterior AND interior featured the extensive use of BLUE carbon fiber — make sure you get a GOOD look at how bright the blue carbon is INSIDE the cabin.

Lastly, the front seats were a mixture of black and yellow Alcantara and cloth.

While I am sure the description may not seem entirely clear let me crystallize it for you via the slew of images Agent 001 snapped, below! Then, let us know if Ferrari "jumped the shark" on this one. If you've ever seen a 360 Challenge Stradale sans stripes, then you may understand why going understated may be the best move if you're looking to pick up one of these limited pieces.
