In the past several months we've heard a bit about the much revered AE Performance collection that was owned by Paul Walker and Roger Rodas.

First we were alerted that the collection was being split up and sold piece-by-piece. Then an Audi RS6 Avant went on the market that was known to be Paul Walker's daily driver. Now we've got another tasty treat.

Long considered one of the best sedans to have ever been built, the E39 5-Series is a legend in its own regard. So when BMW beefed it up a la the M division, it was hard not to fall in love.

Now the car up for grabs is said to have been a part of the AE Performance collection but was dumped in 2011. Considering how many cars were the rotation it's no wonder it only has just over 50,000 miles on the clock.

For some people there may be some added value of it being a part of the collection, I am sure to others they will steer clear. Either way, it's a great sport sedan in what appears to be good condition.

If you're in-market for a — relatively — low mileage E39 M5 in SoCal, this may be your chance. Better act fast though, it's auction is ending in less than 24 hours.
