Arguably one of the world's best motoring programs, the BBC's Top Gear featuring the likes of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May has officially come to a close. That's because this week Hammond and May wrapped production on the latest season.

You may recall there were a couple episodes left as Clarkson's actions involving the assault — verbal and physical — of a producer halted production of the series. Due to Clarkson's suspension and following dismissal from the program, Hammond and May were left to complete the season's filming.

According to the U.K.'s Telegraph, the pair filmed at Dunsfold Aerodrome, which is referred to as the Top Gear test track by fans.

As filming has wrapped officially, we assume that the crew can edit and do its handiwork relatively quick as it used to film on Wednesday and air on Sunday. BUT, depending on how the BBC needs to reorganize its programming calendar, there's no certain date or time when the last episodes will air. Not yet, at least.

James May and Richard Hammond have finally finished filming the Top Gear episodes that were put on hold in the wake of Jeremy Clarkson's controversial departure from the show.

The pair filmed a series of links, at the show's test track at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, earlier this week.
