According to the latest reports, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has a problem to the tune of 1.3 million vehicles. That's because that's how many RAM pick-up trucks have just been recalled.
If you have one of the affected vehicles, you should make yourself aware pretty quickly.
This recall involves the following:
- 2013-2016 RAM 1500 and 2500
- 2014-2016 RAM 3500
Reports are indicating that if these pick ups experience a significant impact on the vehicle's underside, sensors that deal with the autos safety system may malfunction. Then, your airbags will not deploy and your pre-tensionining seat belts may not do their job.
Keep an eye out. If you have one of the model year trucks, see if there are warning lights in the vehicle's instrument cluster. According to FCA, a warning light will be present if the car has encountered a problem.
