OK, so now that the Audi A5 and S5 have been revealed, we can turn our sights onto the next sporty coupe to come from the four rings. Logically speaking, that would mean the RS5.

Considering we've already seen it doing research and developmental testing, we expect to get a peek at the big, bad coupe by the end of the year. My guess would be this year's Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) in September.

Remember, this is where Volkswagen Auto Group (VWAG) has its big night and a lot of amazing hardware is given its BIG debut. Audi will definitely need to bring its "A" game.

A BMW M4 and Mercedes-AMG C63 S rivaling RS5 coupe would certainly do the trick.

As of now we have zero information regarding the type of motor it will use or any specific timeframe.

Personally, I think Audi will slot in its 4.0-liter, turbocharged V8 for approximately 450-500 horsepower and call it a day. As is the norm with RS vehicles, expect it to benefit from much larger air intakes, a honeycomb-style front grille, a big brake kit with large diameter wheels/tires, a dual oval-tipped exhaust and a lower stance.

To get an idea of what's to come, scope out X-Tomi Design's latest rendering of the upcoming RS5 coupe.
