Along the lines of Audi and its packaging playbook, it seems that BMW is going to be offering its next-generation 3-Series in three different types of trim.

Although these are merely rumblings at this point, speculation has the trims named the Sport Line, Modern Line and Luxury line. But don't be surprised to hear if that changes to something else, or the Sport Line, Urban Line and Deluxe Line.

Hell, maybe even BMW will bestow the Sport Line sDrive35is xDrive 335i upon us.

These optional lines will feature differentiated preset looks via unique trimmings and equipment. Besides the usual options and packages BMWs can be configured with, this allows BMW to offer even more individuality and uniqueness between the same models. These lines should not be offered to the exclusion of the traditional M-sport package or potential Performance Edition (which the recently spied F20 1-series performance edition possibly hints at).

How will the 3 lines differ? No solid details yet, but we assume they will feature different aspects such as wheels, mirror covers, interior trims, exterior trims and accents and/or keyfobs. Performance differences may also not be out of the question...
