Fans of the BBC's Top Gear have been long awaiting news of how Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May will reboot their famous chemistry and automotive program. While there's been plenty of speculation and plenty of claims that Netflix (NFLX) will be the winner, there has yet to be an official announcement.

As of now, there's no guarantee anything will actually happen. We sit and we wait.

Although if people have been carefully listening to the trio's latest act — currently a live show held in Australia — there have been some cheeky comments. Take, for example:




...During the Australian leg of his worldwide stadium tour, which had been known as Top Gear Live before it was stripped of its BBC branding, Clarkson was teased for his American accent by co-hosts James May and Richard Hammond. Clarkson replied: "You're not in America."

While they're known to joke around as it's pretty much a comedy show, there have always been telling slips here and there. For example, Clarkson noted that he was speaking with folks from California earlier this summer in an attempt to talk business.

In addition, due to the strict nature of all three presenter's contracts, the trio may be forced to come overseas to avoid any potential litigation that could arise from filming in the U.K.
