One of the big-time debuts at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show was the Land Rover Range Rover Evoque Convertible. At the time the Evoque was fresh out the gate and sales were exceeding expectations so it seemed like Range Rover wanted to have a bit of fun.

There's no question that this sport-utility convertible actually looks good, unlike some other attempts, but word on the street suggests that Land Rover will not be taking the chance of building it. You can't blame them when you see the sales figures for another SUV convertible on the market.

Don't get too bummed though. According to Car and Driver an Evoque with an opening panoramic roof has been rumored to be coming to a showroom near you.

...The future of the Range Rover Evoque convertible, shown in concept form at the Geneva auto show last year, isn’t as bright as we were led to believe when the crossover cabrio debuted.
