Over the past 12 months, it's clear that the entry-level luxury sport-utility vehicle market is heating up. Buyers are interested in snapping up these low cost people haulers and the automakers are responding. Though we've seen entrants from the likes of BMW, Porsche and Lexus — with more coming online shortly — we're interested in what Jaguar and Land Rover have up their sleeve.

We've seen the Jaguar CX17, which had me drooling, and the Land Rover Discovery Vision. But, now we're awaiting productionalized versions. We like the design studies but we need to see how far they get watered down in the transition from concept to reality.

Today another publication posted up spy shots that its readers contributed of the all-new Land Rover Discovery Sport. Though the vehicles are heavily camouflaged, some details can be made out if you blow up the pictures and break out your spy kit.

Carscoops readers have spotted Land Rover testing the Freelander's replacement, to be known as the Discovery Sport, on two separate occasions: Noel Bellen nabbed a pair of prototypes in Belgium a couple of weeks ago, while Erik Jacobsen had a close encounter with the SUV outside London this past Thursday...
