It's funny. The last time we ran mystery shots of a car spied while testing in SoCal, someone asked why I would think it's the all-new Chrysler 200 undergoing development. I mean, the car has been revealed, right? Why have it hidden under camouflage?
I have several answers for this:
1) It could be a hybrid or electric alternative energy vehicle;
2) It could be a special edition;
3) Just because a car has been unveiled doesn't mean it has completed testing ALL of the components; and
4) Automakers are known to conduct durability testing long after a car has been released.
All this said, I have to ask then: what's going on with this Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class spotted testing in SoCal?
**Special thanks to one of AutoSpies' users, Andrew!
Clearly this particular CLS is camouflaged thoroughly and is keeping a lot of the body hidden. Though nothing appears too out of place, I will note that the vehicle's stance looks quite a bit lower. Obviously, this indicates there was a bit of weight in the vehicle.
So, what could it be?
