Alfa Romeo is a car company that we haven't had much exposure to in the United States. That's because the vehicles haven't been sold here in quite some time.

Of course, the 8C and 4C went on sale in the U.S. but you wouldn't know it because they're so rare.

While all eyes are focused on the return of a proper U.S.-market car in form of the Giulia, realistically speaking, we think that an Alfa Romeo sport-utility vehicle would probably be more appetizing to American's taste.

There's something to be said for chic, Italian design as well as a roomy interior.

Caught on camera here is the upcoming Alfa SUV. As the brand prepares to make a surge in The States, you better believe this will be a key vehicle to move some volume.

From what these spy shots depict, it's more of a crossover than a proper SUV. It appears to have a rather Fiat 500-like design and is much larger than I would have expected. I would wager this will properly seat 5 adults and even have a spacious trunk for some utility.
