It should come as no surprise that one of BMW's best selling models is the X3. It's a luxury sport-utility vehicle, it features pretty good styling and benefits from all of the latest BMW technology.
With relatively aggressive lease prices, the X3 is a lot of vehicle for the money. At least I think so.
But the current-gen product is starting to show its age. It has some gray hairs and its hairline is receding. That said, BMW is currently putting its next-gen product through developmental testing.
While specifics remain to be detailed, we're expecting the following:
- The X3 will grow in all directions to provide a more spacious interior cabin
- The exterior design will be evolutionary and follow the lead of other all-new BMW products — expect it to receive a larger three-dimensional kidney grille, integrated headlights and some sharper lines
- Fully revised interior that follows the likes of the all-new 5-Series and 7-Series
- Weight loss throughout the chassis via aluminum construction and other use of composite materials
