Over the past six months, we've been seeing Porsche developing some sort of über Cayman. As of now it's been dubbed the Cayman GT4 thanks to some detective work carried out by one of the buff books.
It's, more or less, being considered as a Cayman GT3 due to its lightweight wheels, increased aerodynamics via the large rear spoiler, large side sills and aggressive front spoiler. Up until now we thought it would exclusively remain a Cayman model but spy photographers stumbled upon something QUITE interesting this week.
That would be a prototype Boxster that is seen wearing all the same kit with exception of the rear spoiler — it's been replaced with a larger fixed lip spoiler. Can you say "Boxster GT4," everyone?
Following up on the hardcore and very unique Cayman R and Boxster Spyder, we expect both of these models to be highly desirable when they come to fruition. The good news about the Boxster GT4 is it won't be wearing a funny hat a la the Boxster Spyder that was a royal pain in the ass to install/uninstall.
It only took me about 10 minutes and a lot of four-letter words the first handful of times. Oh, and it looked like a trainwreck.
