So, how do you top an engineering marvel? I don't think there's a right answer, actually. It just will require some serious hard work and the latest engineering tricks.

At this point we know that Volkswagen Auto Group's (VAG/VWAG) Bugatti is working on something. Spy pictures captured a Veyron shell sporting camouflage and some funky mods as it was undergoing developmental testing.

Now though we've got something a bit better. Well, at least that's what I think. Said to be spotted at a Los Angeles Airport — is there any other aside from LAX? — is the rumored Chiron. There's no question that following up the Veyron will not be an easy task, but that's what the Chiron's job will be.

Although we're not exactly sure how Bugatti will try, suggestions are leaning towards a hybrid set up a la the Ferrari LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918.

In the spy shot below it's clear that if this is the real deal it will not differ too much from the Veyron. Low and wide, the Chiron appears similar from the front end but it seems sleeker and tidier. Notice anything else, Spies?

Assuming this was snapped in LA at the beginning of the week, what do YOU think the chances are that the vehicle was revealed to the elite auto collectors up at this weekend's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance? If you ask me, the chances are pretty damn high.
