The Jaguar XJ was the first car that really showed everyone what the marque was capable of. Sure, you could point to the XF as it was out earlier but if you were to ask WHICH car started it all, to me it was the XJ. The XF just sort of looked funny whereas the XJ made everyone realize this was a brand to start paying attention to.

Though it's had a good run for the company, it's starting to show its wrinkles and crows feet. It's time for an facelift to bring this baby back into form.

From what we've seen so far there's not much to report, if we're honest. The cars we've seen are camouflaged strategically around the front valence and all over its hind quarters.

Pure speculation here, but I would assume — and I hope — that if Jaguar wants to really remain competitive it would update the powertrains and transmissions for more power and better fuel efficiency. In addition, the center stack's infotainment display is a bit outdated and, frankly, laggy. Everyone's made note of it so hopefully the fast cat listened.

That said, is there anything else you think Jaguar needs to improve on? If so, let us know below.
