While there has been a monumental amount of fanfare over the all-new 2015 BMW M3 and M4, you do have to remember that its competitors are working furiously to counter what is, arguably, the greatest BMW of a all time.

First up? Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG.

Though the C63 never really could hold a candle to the M3 on the track, we're assuming that this will change this go 'round as Mercedes' AMG department has been making progress in its vehicles' development. Some may dislike the fact that the tail-happy AMG models will now likely get some all-wheel drive assistance, but something tells us that buyers will like the performance increases — as seen on the E63 AMG S and CLS63 AMG S.

We're excited to bring you news that the car's debut is expected at this year's Paris Motor Show, which is one of our favorites. It's expected to spawn several different variants: sedan; coupe; convertible; estate.

Mercedes-Benz is speeding up development work on its range-topping C63 AMG estate ahead of a planned public debut at the Paris motor show in October.

Having recently unveiled the regular C-class estate - which will be priced from £28,055 when it goes on sale in the UK this autumn - work on the performance version is almost complete. 

Mercedes plans to launch four variants of the C63 AMG. Alongside the estate pictured here, a saloon, coupe and cabriolet will also be built. All are due to go on sale before the end of 2016...
