Hyundai has been stepping up its game for quite some time and, to be straightforward, you have to be a complete badgewhore to not be impressed. It's remarkable to see the turnaround this once laughable Korean auto manufacturer achieved.

It deserves a standing ovation.

While the products continue to get better looking, more aggressively packaged and features that rival its closest competition, the company continues to up the ante.

First things first, it spun off the Genesis name as its own separate brand. Smart move, right there. Secondly, we know the company is in the process of starting its own performance division. While we have no clue if the Elantra Sport will be a part of the N division, what we do know is that these all-new images of the vehicle driving around without any camouflage are pretty awesome.

Clearly, the company is looking to take on the likes of the Honda Civic Si, as well as cars like the Volkswagen Jetta GLI.

According to what we're hearing, the Elantra Sport will benefit from a lowered stance, a stiffer suspension, a larger wheel and tire package, and styling modifications to its front and rear ends. Seen in these spy shots, the vehicle certainly looks more aggressive than the standard car. We're looking forward to learning more about it and seeing official shots.
