If you've ever had the chance to drive the Porsche Boxster Spyder or Cayman R, you know very well how good these little mid-engine P cars can get. It is staggering how well balanced and how much fun these "baby" Porsches can be.

In fact, I think the Cayman is actually a more fun car to drive over the 911. It's because you can drive it at 10/10ths just about everywhere. It leaves the driver with a smile on their face every single time they walk away and lock it up.

That's what owning a Porsche should be all about.

Although Porsche introduced the GTS variants of the Boxster and Cayman in 2014, all eyes have been waiting on the much anticipated "GT4" version. Although there's no official confirmation if that's the name, that's the latest word on the street.

Think of it as a "baby" 911 GT3. That means it will be more lightweight, the driving dynamics more focused and it's track ready.

Today, more spy shots of the crazy Cayman emerged on the interwebz. It's looking VERY close to a debut. Frankfurt bound, anyone?
