When the Audi S6 and S7 debuted not too long ago, they were loved for their peppy, bi-turbo V8 motors and dual-clutch gearboxes. Nothing too new there. Audi was doing what it always did best. Now though it needs to freshen these babies up to keep up with the evolving market.

Though the modifications are expected to be relatively light, the S6 seen here is reported to have been updated.

Expect for a new set of LEDs up front — and possibly at the back — to bring it up to speed with the A8 flagship. In addition, as with most revamps, there will likely be an updated front and rear valence. Rumor has it that the vehicle's infotainment system, MMI, will get an update and we're crossing our fingers it does. The current system has become brutal to use.

The two most critical changes will be an alleged power bump of about 15 horsepower and finer tuning of the motor eek out more efficiency.

Stay tuned for more as word on the street suggests the new S6 will appear at this year's Paris Motor Show — one of our favorites.

A facelifted version of the Audi S6 has been spotted performance testing at the Nürburgring.

The most significant difference on this new model comes with Audi’s LED headlights, only previously having been available on the larger A8.

Other updates are predicted to be subtle. Tweaked bumpers and modified side skirts make up bodywork changes, alongside an altered Audi grille.
