OK, so, if you were one of the few that saw the all-new Porsche 911 (991) Targa, knew it was yours to have and subsequently placed an order, I strongly suggest you rethink your decision. That's because we have spy shots of the 911 Targa and guess what.

It's already getting the rumored 992 modifications.

Personally, if I had plonked down the funds, I'd be a bit more than pissed. Seems as though Porsche should have waited until the 992 was ready to ship and release the Targa version simultaneously. Well, that's not the route the German automaker took.

So, if you're stuck inbetween a rock and a hard place, you better figure this out ASAP: 1) Take delivery of your 991 Targa, or 2) Cancel the order while you still can.

That said, looking at these spy shots, it seems as though the updates will not be tremendously significant anyway. Unless you're the sort of person that cares about engine covers, door handles, front grilles and, possibly, more efficient motors.

Rumors suggest we'll see it come undone at the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show in only a couple months.
