Not too long ago, I was happy to bring you the all-new images Mercedes-Benz released of its all-new E-Class. That's because its interior heavily mimicked the range-topping S-Class in design and opulence.

Well, it turns out that it may not be all roses in E-Class paradise, folks.

That's because some all-new photos have emerged of the E's interior and there's one bit that's giving me the willies. It just doesn't work, if you ask me.

While the promo shots depicted a dashboard dominated by large TFT displays a la the S-Class sedan, these new pics show a setup that's far from studly. This E is equipped with analogue gauges and a teeny tiny infotainment screen — the one that fills up the space is over 12 inches. Topping this off is an awful lot of shiny black plastic that reminds me of a really poor aftermarket in-dash swap for an Alpine unit or something of the like.

What do YOU think of this look, Spies? Does this RUIN the all-new E-Class' interior?
