Before the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class, the GLK-Class was the most cost efficient way for buyers to enter into the three-pointed star's brand if they wanted a sport-utility vehicle. Well, now the German marque has ruined the harmony by offering the compact GLA.
So, now what?
Well, as we saw with the likes of the CLA-Class and C-Class sedan, this will allow Mercedes to give the GLK a more upscale touch. As we have seen with the all-new C, we expect the next-gen GLK's interior to be class leading. Obviously this will be tough given that Audi should be rolling out an all-new Q5 in the next two years.
As of now the latest spy pics show a heavily camouflaged GLK boasting heavy cladding in strategic places. From what I can tell it's very obvious that the GLK will feature a VERY large front grille and headlights reminiscent of the CLA
Even better, the GLK will shed it's boxy exterior for a more sleek look. Although I know some folks really appreciated the squared-off look, personally, it reminded me of someone rockin' a flat top haircut.
Just me, thought.
