Since this summer's debut of the all-new Alfa Romeo Giulia, a lot of people have been pretty pumped up. Why? That's because everyone seems to believe that Alfa may have concocted a BMW M3 killer.

But we've heard that before. A lot.

And no one has delivered.

Personally speaking, I haven't been so amped up about the all-new Giulia QV. It's interesting, yes, but I am not sold on it. However, I am far more interested in the base Giulia. That's because that will likely sell in greater volume and I am far more intrigued by what Alfa will bring to market for U.S. buyers.

Remember, this is a company that's trying to figure out how to penetrate American consumers that haven't forgotten what a rusty, gremlin-ridden Alfa was like to own.

Although the spy who shot this video says this is a diesel Alfa, to me, it's pretty clear that this is a forced induction gasoline powerplant. According to the latest reports, the base model will be offered with several 2.0-liter four-cylinders good for approximately 200-350 horsepower. Whatever the case, it's pretty clear this car can move.

Check out the clip below and let us know: is this Alfa Romeo a DIESEL- or a gasoline-powered automobile?

A short clip of the brand new 2015 Alfa Romeo Giulia with the Diesel Engine. The one shown in the video is one of the cheaper versions of the Giulia that will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show in Early 2016.
