In the past several weeks more focus has been placed on the all-new, mysterious Mercedes-AMG GT that has been undergoing developmental testing. At first initial sources hinted at this GT to be dubbed the GT3.

While we have no idea what it will eventually be called, we're sticking to our guns on an AMG GT Black Series. The Black Series is an established nomenclature for the road cars and the hardcore AMG GT3 already exists for the track.

Clearly, this vehicle is a road-going machine based on the currently existing AMG GT.

Two BIG things that stand out in this up close and personal footage: First, the winglets on the front fenders to channel air differently. Second, the massive rear wing being employed as we've seen on previous Black Series products.

Will this be the Black Series of the Mercedes-AMG GT?
