Yesterday we posted an anonymous sketch of what is said to be an artist's rendering of what could be possible for Ferrari's 599 GTB replacement. Today, we're bringing you an image of what is said to be one of the earliest shots of the vehicle in what appears to be a Maranello workshop.

There isn't much to debate over as the only distinguishable items, which are pretty much standard on ALL Ferrari prototypes, are a quad-tipped exhaust, rear diffuser and a bunch of camouflage.

However, what is telling are Luca di Montezemolo's remarks that reference a "revolutionary new car," that will deliver "unprecedented power output."

Pretty bold claims.

Will this mark the first appearance of KERS or electric motors at all four corners for Ferrari?

Ferrari Chairman, Luca di Montezemolo said: "We now have a complete range of models which will be joined in a few days time at the Geneva Show by a new 12-cylinder. A revolutionary new car that delivers extreme performance and unprecedented power output.”

Rumoured to be badged the F620 GT, the model is expected to be strictly rear-wheel drive, unlike the four-wheel drive Ferrari FF, and use a 6.3-litre V12 with around 700bhp connected to a seven-speed twin-clutch gearbox.
