You have to remember that vehicles are typically a household's second largest purchase and people's perception of cars is that they are a status symbol. Can't really disagree with that.
When an automaker goes out on a limb, we like it. That's because a lot of the time an auto manufacturer's greatest moments happen. Problem is when they don't hit the mark.
That's when you wind up with something like the Pontiac Aztek, easily the most revolting vehicle in automotive history. No there isn't any hyperbole in that sentence. It really is that dreadful.
