SPYSHOT: Is this the new Lexus LX570?
We first showed this in September of 2006...Could this be the real LX570? If so, it looks an awful lot like the new Tundra in the grill area...

Look at all the deboosting already done to your comment. It clearly shows you have no knowledge whatsoever in regards to the automotive world. I suggest you get your act together and be very selective in what you say on this website. At least gain some support. Even the Lexus fan club can't help you and your comments, that's how bad you are.

ah. In one light you're right. the LX570 will pass the Cayenne only on one track, and that track leads to the junkyard.

I think this is the LX570, look at the front kit taken from the LS460 (I have a feeling they will look the same)

You are correct- I have seen the real LX470, and it looks like a tall LS460 from the front.

You've already seen it?

Can you tell us anything about it?

Why is it that every dealer salesman sees new cars secretly?

LexusManiac, can't you see that whatever comes from you, you get deboosted so quick before you even have the chance to finish reading what others have to say.

You say Lexus for life but you should be concerned about yourself as you're a loser for life. Before you are a loser for life you should get a life as well.

I bet you don't even own a Lexus but only dream of owning one. Go out and test drive some at least so you have some information to back you're moronic comments my house-hold moron lol

The LX is way over due for redesign. It should be more refined and better looking than the current one in the market. I like the LX as it's very quiet and comfortable. The new one should be a lot better but in terms of performance I doubt it will be as good as the ML63's, X5's, Range Rover's, and etc. It's purely designed for luxury more than anything. For that, IMO they will still get some sales but won't win the hearts over the loyal GM/Ford/Lincoln large SUV owners.

Depends what you define of performance. If you were talking speed, with at least 381 hp/401 lb.ft (possibly over 400hp), I think LX570 can move its weight.

If talking about performance of a real SUV, then
ML, X5 are not competitors to LX570.

Oh no doubt it can move its weight. It would have to or else Toyota wouldn't go through with the motor. In terms of performance it will not move like the ML,X5,Q7, and etc. but it is luxurious and quiet inside so I guess for the targeted consumer it's good enough.

Who buys a luxury SUV for anything other than comfort and reliability? This will sell very well to the market it is designated for. Performance SUV's don't make sense unless they are for use off-road, which this vehicle is more than capable of.

If you think about it, who anyone seriously take their luxurious SUV off roading? would someone take their Escalade into off road trails even if they're all capable of doing so? I'm not quite sure they would.

That's what the Toyota Landcruiser would be for in terms of an alternative for the LX.

Uhh... Tundra? Well, if you turned it upside and dimmed the lights...

And as far as the LX570 taking on the Cayenne? Balderdash and poppycock, unless we're talking about mudplugging, in which case I'd give the Lexus the edge. But racing a tall, ungainly, body-on-frame SUV around the track won't give you anything but a slight case of nausea.

Lexusmaniac,

"Agent63, the Lexus LX570 was designed to take on the Porsche Cayenne. It's too good for stuff like the BEnz GL class or the BMW X5, so what better thing to do than take on the sportiest SUV out there, the Cayenne. Trust me, knowing Lexus, the LX570 will tear the Cayenne to pieces.

And I don't care about the deboosting. German fanboys know their cars are going down the toilet. Lexus will reign supreme!"

---

You're so funny! if the LX was designed to go head to head against the Cayenne then how come the LX came out way before the Cayenne was ever brought out into market? so you're saying that Lexus predicted years ahead that the Cayenne was going to come out and they built to spec to compete against it?

It's not even about the German fan's. It's about what you say that is not credible. Give me a break, an LX vs Cayenne. Since when was the LX a performance SUV anyways?

Just keep in mind that you're deboosted for your stupid comments that have no true facts to back it. No one is supporting your comments, NO ONE. Even the other Lexus fans know an LX was not designed to compete against the Cayenne.

You're a joke.

-Agent63

Another argument? The LX is a huge, three-row SUV.

Since Lexusmaniac is so keen on touting the LX as a performance SUV, let's compare the Cayenne Turbo to the current LX470.

Hmm. The Turbo has 450hp and weighs 5,192lbs. Heavy... until you consider that the LX470 has 268hp and weighs 5,590lbs. Gee, I wonder which one is the better performance SUV?

I love Lexus, but I'm going to be honest with every1....neither the LX nor the GX I like, they look crappy and the performance is terrible! but RX I like, esp. the hybrid. If u want something bigger then the LX or GX and u dont want it 2 be a lexus, then I would suggest an X5 or M-class

oh, my! the new LX570 DOES looks like a spin-off of the new Toyota Tundra. probably got the same chasis, too.

... just check the orange parking light proportions. typical ToyoLex style tells me they gotta be bigger than that. also try hard to picture it without that whatever "floating" on top the hood. looks like the grill is COMPLETELY missing and thay attached that piece to sort of just sit on top the real hood. there probably is a well proportioned Toy/Lex stly bulge they are covering up. add a Lex "waterfall"(is it called?)-style grille. then u will get a better concept . that's my fantacy for now. perhaps someone could Adobe one up and post it.
